It has been drawn to the attention of the Technical Committee that there may be issues with some mast collars that allow too much movement, which is therefore a breach of class rules. This can be caused by general wear and tear whilst sailing, but we are also aware there could be an issue with some newer mast collars that need checking.
Whilst you are not able to go out and sail your boat, it is the time to do maintenance on your boat to get ready for when we can all go out sailing again. If you find movement, you may need to change the collars/sleeves before you attend the next IODA event.
